Kosovo American Education Fund (KAEF)
Established in 2004, this fund is dedicated to the long-term economic development of Kosovo through the education of its most promising youth and professionals. Fully funded fellowships provided by KAEF support Kosovo’s young leaders, who embark upon graduate studies at top-level US universities.
After returning to Kosovo, KAEF alumni have gone on to serve as government ministers, ambassadors, advisers, directors, entrepreneurs, lawyers, and civil society activists. Alumni have managed development projects valued at over $88 million and launched numerous successful new businesses.
American Councils for International Education administers the KAEF program in collaboration with an independent committee of regional experts, business leaders, and program alumni. Individual contributions directly support KAEF fellows studying in the US.
