To build on the leadership capabilities of youth in the region, young leaders from across Southeast Asia focused on economic empowerment will have access to fellowships in the US

As part of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), the program brings emerging leaders to the US for intensive fellowships to broaden their expertise and equip them with new ideas on how to expand economic opportunities for their country.

Emerging leaders may come from a variety of professional backgrounds, including:

Social innovation organizations using entrepreneurship to solve social issues
Government offices including local government, regional development agencies, national policy offices, and offices working to increase the presence of underrepresented citizens in the economy
NGOs including those increasing the role of marginalized populations in the economy and workforce, building financial literacy, and supporting other efforts around economic empowerment
Universities incubators, accelerators, university-based centers or programs focusing on business development, financial literacy, tourism, or economic development
