Embrace the Adventure with American Councils Insider Tours: Bridging Cultures & Creating Memories
For over 50 years, American Councils for International Education has connected Americans with less-traveled regions of the world through educational development and language exchange programs. Over the past decade, this work has expanded to include Insider Tours, immersive 10 to 12-day travel experiences where participants explore the countries, cultures, and communities where American Councils operates. Led by experienced staff, alumni, and regional experts, these tours go beyond traditional travel, giving participants the chance to discover both iconic landmarks and lesser-known sites.
Designed for engaged supporters and curious learners alike, Insider Tours foster in-depth understanding of each destination’s history, politics, and culture. Carefully curated itineraries feature meetings with American Councils alumni and local partners, along with cultural experiences such as food tastings and visits to historically significant locations. Past tours have spanned Eastern Europe, the Baltics, the Western Balkans, and Central Asia, creating meaningful opportunities to engage with local communities and witness the impact of international education firsthand.
