NSLI-Y Hosts "A Day in the Life in Tajikistan"

Students interested in the NSLI-Y scholarship program are invited to a virtual event to learn about studying in Tajikistan.

National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) staff and alumni are pleased to announce "A Day in the Life in Tajikistan," a virtual event presented by NSLI-Y Interactive on September 26, 2016 at 7:00PM EST. Four NSLI-Y summer alumni will reflect on their experiences as Persian (Tajiki) language students, cultural ambassadors, and NSLI-Y scholarship recipients, and present on specific aspects from their summer in Tajikistan, followed by a Q&A. The alumni are looking forward to sharing their experiences and answering your questions.

About National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y)
NSLI-Y, sponsored by the US Department of State, provides merit-based scholarships for eligible high school students and recent high school graduates to learn less commonly taught languages in summer and academic-year immersion programs. Scholarships are eligible to study Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Persian (Tajiki), Russian, and Turkish.
