US Ambassador to Moldova William H. Moser invited 12 Moldovan Access Microscholarship Program students to join him for an afternoon of tea and discussion. The students, some of the best in the program, were joined by four of their teachers for the event. During the afternoon tea with the Ambassador, the students had the opportunity to share their experiences participating on the program, their work on online collaborative projects with their American high school partners, and their future goals after graduation from the program.

The group of students and teachers engaged in conversation with Ambassador Moser while enjoying their tea and one another's company. The students created online cartoons to express their ideas about a prospective country where they would like to serve as an Ambassador, and expressed their enthusiasm for the program. The afternoon tea with Ambassador Moser had a strong impact on the students, motivating them to continue working hard on their academic, social, and civic skills as part of the program. Access students and teachers were honored to spend the afternoon with the highest official representing the US in Moldova.

The Access Microscholarship Program in Moldova aims to teach free English courses to over 100 children from vulnerable families throughout the country through Skype and Online Project Based Learning. Access students gain an appreciation for American culture and democratic values, increase their ability to participate in the socio-economic development of Moldova, and gain the ability to compete for and participate in future US exchange and study programs.
