On June 16, American Councils Moldova initiated a new edition of the Summer Leadership Academy, a project that aims to engage teenagers in challenging and progress-driven activities, while also allowing them to practice their English language skills in a non-academic environment. Over the course of four weeks, 21 teenagers will be engaged in a leadership course developed by Ad Astra that will help them grow personally and professionally through three phases: Explore, Experiment, and Connect.

Trainers who specialize in outdoor teambuilding activities, service leadership, and career development will lead activities and track the students' progress. In addition, the students will participate in a short exercise on public speaking led by three guest speakers.

The first three weeks of the course are dedicated to exploring students' potential in personal and professional spheres, with an emphasis on connecting these skills and values to projects that can be carried out in the future. The final week will include field trips to local companies and debriefing sessions, culminating in a graduation event in which students will present their personal projects and share stories of their growth.
