Yurt camp of Tulpar Kol Lake in Alay Valley, Osh, Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan

AC has operated in the Kyrgyz Republic since 1994. Currently, our office is located in the capital city of Bishkek.

Bishkek is full of wide boulevards lined with leafy green trees and marble-faced public buildings. There are also numerous Soviet-style apartment blocks positioned around interior courtyards. Situated at the foot of the Tian Shan mountain range, the city enjoys the 4,855 meter high mountains as a scenic backdrop.

Our office is located in the central part of the city, near the Philharmonic Hall. Over the last 20+ years of operation in the Kyrgyz Republic, we have implemented many programs, including: Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX), U.S.-CAEF, EducationUSA, Summer Camp America, FLEX Exchanges to Internships, USG Alumni Engagement, Lehigh Summer Internship, CLS Russian, and over a dozen different cultural and professional exchange programs.

Currently, we manage eight primary programs that provide individuals with opportunities to study, exchange culture, and build skills. In addition to the programs managed by our office, we also run an EducationUSA advising center in the American Corner in Bishkek. This center provides guidance and resources for Kyrgyz citizens interested in pursuing higher education study in the United States.
