American Councils Kosovo, located in the heart of Pristina, opened in 2005. In the ensuing years, AC Kosovo has administered and supported international scholarships for hundreds of educators and other professionals, as well as graduate, college, and high school students.

One of AC Kosovo’s most well-known programs, the Kosovo American Education Fund (KAEF), provides graduate fellowships to promising Kosovars for top- level training at select US universities. Since its initiation, KAEF has awarded more than 100 master’s-level fellowships through its competitive, merit-based process.

Our office also works closely with the US Embassy in Prishtina and maintains relationships with vital stakeholders, including USAID and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and local community organizations and entities as well as the private sector.
