More than 100 US colleges and universities represented their institutions at this year's regional EducationUSA fall recruitment tour with stops across Eurasia, Kazakhstan, and India. With the support of American Councils, the fall fairs enabled participating schools to reach thousands of prospective students in more than 15 cities across the region.

In India, 44 US schools reached potential students across five major cities including Mumbai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Delhi. The Kazakhstan tour welcomed 40 US schools to meet students in Astana, Karaganda, and Almaty with the Almaty fair alone attracting more than 750 students. The Eurasia tour stopped in seven cities across Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan with 30 participating US schools.

At the stop in Baku, Azerbaijan, EducationUSA welcomed representatives from 16 US universities, reaching 200 prospective students. Notably in attendance was the US Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta.

In addition to the fair itself, Baku advisers organized special presentations for interested students; presenters included US Embassy Visa Consul Matthew Lunn as well as a representative from Adelphi University in New York. These presentations covered important topics such as the US visa application process and scholarship opportunities for US study. Advisers also organized a visit for 13 participating schools to the Baku International School where representatives reached an additional group of prospective students.
