The Kosovo American Education Fund's spring gala will celebrate the success of fellows and supporters in building the country's global reputation.

The Kosovo American Education Fund is delighted to announce its upcoming Kosova on the World Stage gala in New York City. The annual spring celebration will showcase the successes that have driven Kosova to international attention; whether in the field of business and international politics or sport and the arts, KAEF fellows and esteemed guests are solidifying Kosova's global reputation.

The Kosovo American Education Fund is honored to have Lorik Cana, renowned Albanian soccer star, and Eliot Engel, US Representative, deliver the keynote addresses at this exclusive event.

Lorik Cana made his international football debut for Albania in 2003 at the age of 19. After playing in top divisions in France, England, Italy, and Turkey, he came back to lead the Albanian National Team in its first major international competition, the 2016 UEFA European Championship.

Eliot Engel, US Representative for New York's 16th District, has been a congressional leader on Albania and Kosova issues since the mid-1990s. While a member of the Subcommittee on Europe and chair of the Congressional Albanian Issues Caucus, Congressman Engel voiced support in the US Congress for Kosova's independence. Congressman Engel is currently the Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and remains involved with the Albanian community.

At this event, the KAEF will present the second annual David Gotaas Community Supporter Award. Named in honor of former American Councils Board Member and KAEF champion, David Gotaas supported Kosovar fellows and believed in KAEF's potential to truly make a difference in Kosova's future. In his memory, the KAEF recognizes remarkable members of the community who have demonstrated leadership in program support and enhancement each year. The 2017 recipient will be UA Builders for their philanthropic leadership and volunteer dedication to the Kosovo American Education Fund.

We hope you will join us for this exclusive evening to celebrate KAEF's achievements and toast to Kosova's bright future.

All applicants undergo a merit-based, competitive selection process to guarantee that the most qualified, motivated, and talented candidates are selected.
