AC operates in Morocco for at least six months of the year through several programs. Most recently, we administered two intensive language programs funded by the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs: the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) for American undergraduates, and NSLI-Y for American high school and gap year students. Each program includes Arabic language offerings, which are frequently hosted in Menkes.
We also work closely with the Arab-American Language Institute in Morocco, the overseas partner for The Language Flagship program's Arabic track. This undergraduate program is part of a national effort by the US government to change the way Americans learn languages. Through an innovative partnership between the federal government and higher education, The Language Flagship graduates global professionals with a superior-level command in one of several languages deemed critical to US competitiveness and security.
