Alumni have successfully participated in international academic exchanges administered by American Councils for International Education. These projects are supported by a variety of funders, including the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. Prior to their participation, alumni went through a rigorous, transparent, and merit-based selection process designed to test, among other things, their leadership qualities. All alumni projects are led by alumni who excelled, both academically and socially, during their exchange experience.
American Councils for International Education staff verify the legitimacy of all projects on www.americancouncils.org, and the expertise and capability of alumni to carry out those projects. As a donor, you can rest assured that any alumni project posted on this site has gone through a rigorous screeing process.
American Councils for International Education is a 501(c)3 public charity, recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.
