The Bosnia and Herzegovina Undergraduate Program (BUDP) was a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the United States Department of State and is administered by American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS. The purpose of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Undergraduate Program (BUDP) was to enrich the education and experience of students who showed the promise of contributing to the betterment of their own country and to the increased mutual understanding between Bosnia and the United States. The scholarship provided for one academic year of undergraduate, non-degree study for students from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the United States in fields related to democratic and economic reform. Participants were placed at universities throughout the U.S., participating in internships and community service projects.
