FLEX Program Launches Online Alumni Newsletter

01/20/12

The Bradley Herald FLEX alumni newsletter, named after the founding father of the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program, Senator Bill Bradley, is now available online at www.bradleyherald.com. Administered by American Councils for International Education, FLEX is a U.S. Department of State-funded program that sends students from ten Eurasian countries to study in American high schools for one academic year. Today the FLEX alumni community is 20,000 strong and continues to grow.

Created in response to alumni requests to become more interactive, the inaugural online Bradley Herald FLEX alumni newsletter includes articles, photos, and videos posted by FLEX alumni about the volunteer projects and events they organize in their home countries. Participating countries include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine. The online newsletter also includes alumni successes and profiles of alumni leaders. The publication will keep the FLEX alumni community connected and informed about conference, grant, and scholarship opportunities in their respective countries. American Councils believes this online publication will make alumni activities more accessible to FLEX partners, including placement organizations, host families, and school contacts.
