Ms. Marwa is from Cairo, Egypt and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the Department of Arts at Cairo University. She has received a pre-master degree in Arabic literature from the Department of Arabic Language and Literature Department of Arts, Cairo University. She has taught Arabic as a foreign language at the American International School in Cairo since 2010. In 2010, she participated in a teacher training program on teaching Arabic as a foreign language at the International Language Institute in Cairo. Ms. Marwa has one daughter, and enjoys walking and reading in her spare time. She believes that exchange programs are very important in order to build bridges across cultures and she wishes to introduce the Arabic language and people to Americans. She is being hosted by Global Learning Collaborative (357 students and 27 teachers) in New York, New York (pop. 9,000,000).
