Wael Elkhatib is from Helwan and holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Ain Shams University. He has been teaching at Zein Elabdeen Experimental Language School (56 teachers and 566 students) in Helwan since 2002. Mr. Wael has studied conversation and translation at the American University in Cairo, and methodology at the University of East Anglia in the U.K. He was a faculty member of the Student Union, where he has headed the Sports Committee, became boxing champion of the year in the national championship, and been class supervisor. Mr. Wael is now married with two children, and his hobbies include running, tennis, swimming, and football. He also enjoys language courses and English-Arabic translation. His goals for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program were to enhance his professional skills, brush up on his knowledge of the English language, and facilitate cultural and linguistic exchange between his American and Egyptian students.
Mr. Elkhatib was hosted by Hellgate High School during the 2010-2011 academic year.
My name is Wael Salah Elkhateeb.I am a high school English teacher.I have been working in Experimental language schools since 2000.I got my degree in English literature from the Faculty of Education Ain Shams University in 1996.I enrolled in a variety of courses in The American University in Cairo(conversation and translation).I was selected by the Ministry of Education to travel to the USA in 2001.But later the mission was directed to the UK. where I attended a Methodology course in the University of East Angelia.I worked in a language high school in KSA for one year.I also worked as an instructor of English in a language institute for teaching English to adults in KSA.Recently I have been chosen to be a member of the TCLP family which I consider to be the highlight of my career.
