Teachers of Critical Languages Program Participant Biographies

Xinming Tong (Chinese Teacher)

Photo of Xinming TongTong Xinming is from Changchun, Jilin Province, and holds a degree in English teaching. She teaches in Middle School No 87 of Changchun city (3,700 students and 240 teachers), which is a key school in Changchun City. Her awards include 2002 National English Proficiency Competition, 2005 Annual Paper Assessment, China Education System, she was also ranked as top-quality class teacher.

Ms. Tong was hosted by the Saint Joseph Academy in Cleveland, Ohio during the 2007-2008 academic year. Among her many accomplishments are being interviewed both by Cleveland TV stations and newspapers, as well as helping her school plan a spring trip to China that will include a visit to her school.
