- Q: Is there any guarantee that my article will be published if I am an ECA alum?
- A: No, there is no such guarantee. All articles that are submitted for publication are subject to the complete review process to determine which articles are published.
- Q: Who decides which articles are published?
- A: The JER editorial board decides which articles are published based on reviews that are received from independent experts in the field.
- Q: Will I be paid an honorarium if I publish or review an article for JER?
- A: No. As an ECA alumni initiative the Journal of Eurasian Research does not pay honoraria to its authors or reviewers. Instead, authors whose articles are published receive two copies of the journal, and reviewers receive one copy, in recognition of their contribution to JER.
- Q: May I submit an article if I am not an ECA alum?
- A: Yes. The editorial board accepts submissions from those who are not ECA alumni if their papers meet all the necessary requirements.
- Q: May I submit an article that does not respond to the theme of the current Call for Papers?
- A: Theoretically, yes. The editorial board considers all high-quality submissions for publication, and may publish articles outside the current theme. However, the editorial board receives a substantial number of submissions that directly address the theme of the current issue and gives them first priority.
