The problems that disturb environment scientists in Moldova nowadays are: the increase in carbon dioxide emissions due to the growing number of vehicles, the low quality of drinking water and its pollution with the organic fertilizers, the absence of water quality monitoring system, soil salting and erosion, the active landslides, massive deforestation, rare flora and fauna disappearance. It is expressed an opinion that solution could be found jointly by the environmentalists, the legislators and the NGOs through introduction of the international standards in legislation on the environmental protection.
